Egg Nog

700ml  whole milk

240ml heavy cream

3 cinnamon stick

1 vanilla bean pod

1teaspoon grated nutmeg

5 egg yolks

120grams white sugar

175ml bourbon or Rum

In saucepan bring milk to boil with nutmeg and vanilla. then turn off heat and allow to steep for 15minutes.

Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick pale yellow ribbons appear. then whisk in the milk and add bourbon or rum. serve with a dolope of whipped cream.

Mixture can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
