Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter (soft room temperature)
1 cup soft brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs (at room temperature)
2 cups (12ounces) chocolate chips or chunks
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop teaspoon size balls of dough onto baking sheets.
Bake for 7-9 minutes. the cookies can easily over cook and then the cookie will be crunchy not moist. Cool if you can wait that long to eat them. -christine
